In the video.

In my video, you will learn how to grow your very own tobacco from seed to cigarette. I go through the entire process. Planting, pruning, picking, washing, aging, and shredding are just a few of the many steps you'll get to see. My plants reached a height of 8 feet tall! I grew Burley tobacco, otherwise known as common smoking tobacco.

This video is not only informative, but has very beautiful scenery from rural Wisconsin. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable video to share with others. This video is different than most videos. Odd-man Art takes you through some of his crazy ideas, experimenting with different ways of curing the leaves. For some it may be a bit humorous in parts.

We will begin in the spring, then enjoy the summer birds, going into the fall colors, and will end with a snow fall. This entire video was made and completed in 2006-2023 and what an experience it has been!

Tall Tobacco Plant
Native Americans used tobacco before Europeans
arrived in North & South America, and early European
settlers in North & South America learned to smoke and
brought the practice back to Europe, where it became
hugely popular. At extremely high doses, tobacco
becomes hallucinogenic; accordingly, Native Americans
generally did not use the drug recreationally. Rather,
it was often consumed in extraordinarily high
quantities and used as an entheogen; among some
tribes, this was done only by experienced shamans or
medicine men.

Eastern North American tribes would use
tobacco only on sacred or ceremonial occasions, as to
seal a bargain, and would smoke it at such occasions
in all stages of life, even in childhood, without ever
suffering from addiction. It was believed that the
exhaled tobacco smoke was capable of carrying one's
thoughts to heaven.
